A monumental mural turned into a digital canvas that follows the real energy of the night: identity, atmosphere, seasonal layers and special moments without rebuilding the architecture.
01 / PROJECT ORIGIN
The idea started
by reading the architecture.
The starting point was architectural. The ART3D architect who developed the venue’s 3D model and participated in early design approaches that helped visualize what later became the operating venue already knew RosaNegra’s scale, materials and spatial identity.
Once the restaurant was operating and we saw the scale of the main mural, the opportunity was immediate: that surface could become more than a static image. Its scale called for a second life made of light.
That led to ANY SURFACE: using projection mapping to temporarily transform the mural without replacing it, allowing ART3D visuals to amplify different moments of the night.

The experience evolves.
ART3D treats projection as an experience layer: the original artwork remains while the system adds light, color, rhythm and content on a surface calibrated specifically for the venue.
Moments
Intensity can shift between welcome, ambient, celebration and closing without competing with service.
Seasonal
Halloween, Día de Muertos and other seasons can live on the same infrastructure.
Simple operation
The system can run automatically and be supervised from an approved iPad or phone interface.
CONTROL WITHOUT VISIBLE COMPLEXITY.The venue operates prepared states; ART3D maintains programming, visual direction, QA and content evolution without exposing the production environment.

We are developing a short film combining real venue documentation, mapping, operation and seasonal moments into one audiovisual story. It will be the public synthesis of the work: architecture + technology + content + nightlife.
